Duties & Taxes Information
When purchasing from our store, please be aware that import duties and taxes may apply depending on your destination country. The following information outlines key considerations regarding customs and import taxes:
Customs and Import Taxes
- Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply in their country.
- We, as the sellers, are not responsible for delays caused by customs processes.
European Union
As of July 1, 2022, the EU removed the €22 duty-free limit. Here's what applies now:
- Goods under €150: Deemed “low-value” and subject to import VAT only.
- Goods exceeding €150: Subject to customs duties AND import VAT (calculated on the total purchase price, including shipping). Duty rates vary based on the product type.
To find exact duty rates and any trade restrictions for your purchase, visit www.tariffnumber.com.
- Average VAT for clothing in the EU: Approximately 19%.
United Kingdom
Import rules for the UK vary depending on the value of the goods:
-
Goods worth £135 or less in total:
- VAT (approximately 20%) will apply to the value of the goods, including shipping.
-
Goods worth more than £135 in total:
- Subject to VAT and Customs Duty (around 17%) and may incur additional handling fees.
You’ll be contacted by Royal Mail, Parcelforce, or the courier company to settle VAT, duty, or handling charges before delivery.
Other Countries
Each country has its own unique import rules and tax rates.
- Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes imposed by their country.
- We recommend checking with your local customs authority for specific information.
